We have the following positions open:  

Graphic Designing and Photography Intern:

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Undergraduate student currently enrolled in college/university.

  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration.

  • Passion for fashion, design, or art preferred

  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and energetic

  • A flexible approach and a willingness to accept feedback and incorporate it into their work.

  • An understanding of the key principles of branding

  • Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn, Youtube, etc.

  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo and video--editing software, and internet browsers.

  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Available to work at least 20 hours a week according to his or her approved schedule.

Eligibility: 

This is a part-time position subject to review after six months for a possibility of converting to a full-time position. We require and expect that you already have your own computer to complete all required and assigned tasks. Candidates should maintain a positive attitude under pressure, exhibit strong work ethics, and enjoy working with a wide range of personalities. Most importantly, the candidate should be flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a start-up environment.

 

Job Description: 

  • Design web pages, social media pages, brochures, business cards, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials branded for Rho & Nya.

  • Create these materials by hand or by using computer software programs like Adobe's Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and others.

  • Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs and implement customized experiences for the digital user.

  • Work with models and other team members to produce web quality photos and videos, including photo and video shoots and editing, for Rho & Nya commercials, website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and social media platforms

  • Organize local fashion events to introduce our collections, showcase our products; and other related events to network with other designers and buyers.

  • Assist in the execution of all events scheduled on the fashion calendar.

  • Reach out to other brands for Collaborations

  • Research and find stores and markets in Michigan and around the United States for the possibility of putting our merchandise in their stores and/or selling in those markets.

  • Complete other graphic design/photography projects as assigned.

  • Submit daily reports of tasks completed.

Compensation:

  • This is an unpaid internship, but remuneration can be negotiated.

Book Keeping Intern:

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Undergraduate student currently enrolled in college/university.

  • Passion for fashion, design, or art preferred

  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly motivated and energetic

  • A flexible approach and a willingness to accept feedback and incorporate it into their work.

  • An understanding of the key principles of branding

  • Basic accounting knowledge is required for this position. Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software is required

  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo and video--editing software, and internet browsers.

  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Available to work at least 20 hours a week according to his or her approved schedule.

  • Assist with tracking and managing Rho & Nya financial data

  • Documenting transaction details

  • Putting together financial reports

  • Fact-checking accounting data

  • Notifying the CEO of any accounting errors

  • Calculating interest charges

  • Recording financial transactions

  • Tracking payroll data

  • Complete other bookkeeping projects as assigned

    Using QuickBooks or other accounting software to achieve the above

Tailor:

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Undergraduate student currently enrolled in college/university.

  • Ability to sketch, drape, and draft pattern pieces

  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo and video--editing software, and internet browsers.

  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Available to work at least 20 hours a week according to his or her approved schedule.

Eligibility: 

This is a full-time position subject to review. We require and expect that you already have your own computer and sewing machines to complete all required and assigned tasks. Candidates should maintain a positive attitude under pressure, exhibit strong work ethics, and enjoy working with a wide range of personalities. Most importantly, the candidate should be flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a startup environment.

Job Description:

  • Working with Rho & Nya designing team to produce great custom/couture garments.  

  • Restyling outdated garments based on the customers’ requests which includes sewing hooks, buttons, and zippers.

  • Assisting the clients in picking the right fabric.

  • Discussing the design, repair, and alteration requests with the clients for making sure the results meet their orders.

  • Measuring the clients’ bodies completely based on the garment models by using a tape measure.

  • Recording the measurements and preferences of the clients as well as the instructions.

  • Placing labels on the garments as requested.

  • Making garment modifications based on the orders, for example, lining sheer garments, tapering the legs of the pants, adding padding, and also removing pockets.

  • Altering garments to improve their comfort and fitness such as narrowing lapels, shortening the straps, sleeves, etc.

  • Repairing the garments, for example, sewing holes and tears.

  • Helping customers with constructing their garments based on their ideas, preferences as well as specifications.

  • Explaining the costs and time estimation to the clients.

  • Draping, sketching, styling, drafting and grading pattern pieces
