Our sewing lessons range from beginner to advance classes. Please review each category before you purchase. There's a $50 charge for Registration fee for all category. Please note that you are required to bring your own sewing machine to every class. You are responsible for every tool and device you bring to the class, including your sewing machine.

Intermediate class: Starting at $250.00 (Covers 4 hours of lesson only)

Advance sewing class: $50 Registration; $50/hr. Minimum of 4 hours payment, plus Registration fee to start.

Requirements: The following tools are required for this class.

A sewing machine, Serger machine, Seam Riper, Paper Scissors, Fabric Scissors, Pins and Pin Cushion, Needles, Threads, Measuring tools, Fabric Marking tools, Thread Snips, Seam Gauge, Sewing gauge, Bodkin or Safety Pins, Thimble, Pattern Paper and Tracing Wheel, Presser Feet, Pattern Weights, Bobbins, Sewing Box organizer.

What you will be learning in this category (13 or more classes in this category)

  1. Advanced Machine Techniques: Mastery of sewing machine functions, including more advanced stitches like overlock, blind hem, and decorative stitches. Techniques for sewing with specialty machine feet may also be covered.
  2. Precision Cutting and Piecing: Refinement of cutting techniques for precise piercing, including cutting fabric on the bias and matching pattern pieces accurately.
  3. Understanding Fabric Grain: In-depth understanding of fabric grain and its importance in garment construction and pattern layout.
  4. Pattern Alterations and Adjustments: Techniques for adjusting commercial patterns to achieve a better fit, including grading between sizes, lengthening or shortening patterns, and making full or small bust adjustments.
  5. Introduction to Advanced Garment Construction: Learning more complex garment construction techniques such as setting sleeves, sewing collars and cuffs, creating darts and pleats, and sewing with linings.
  6. Introduction to Specialty Fabrics: Working with challenging fabrics like silk, chiffon, velvet, or leather, including tips and techniques for handling and sewing them.
  7. Advanced Seam Finishes: Mastery of various seam finishing techniques, including French seams, flat-felled seams, and Hong Kong finishes.
  8. Advanced Hemming Techniques: Learning techniques for hemming curved edges, circle skirts, and specialty hems like rolled hems.
  9. Introduction to Tailoring Techniques: Basic tailoring techniques such as pad-stitching, interfacing, and shaping for more structured garments.
  10. Advanced Closure Methods: Mastery of installing various closures including invisible zippers, hand-sewn buttonholes, and snaps.
  11. Troubleshooting Complex Issues: Learning to troubleshoot more complex sewing problems and understanding how to rectify fitting issues in garments.
  12. Project-Based Learning: Completing more intricate sewing projects under the guidance of the instructor to apply and reinforce learned techniques.
  13. Independent Project Work: Opportunity for students to work on their own sewing projects with guidance and support from the instructor.
