Our sewing lessons range from beginner to advance classes. This is the beginner class. If your knowledge of sewing is above this class please do not register. There's a $50 charge for Registration for all category. Our Intermediate and Advanced classes are currently sold out. Please note that you are required to bring your own sewing machine and other required tools to every class. You are responsible for every tool and device you bring to the class, including your sewing machine. This class runs for 8 weeks or more. Each class duration is 1 hour. Once you register you will receive the class schedule and other details by emails.

A registration fee of $50 is required for all classes

Beginners Classes

Partial Course starts at $140.00 (Covers 3 hours plus registration) $50 Registration, $30/hr. Minimum of 3 hours payment plus registration fee to start.

Full Course starts at $530.00 covers 16 hours plus registration

***You may purchase additional individual classes for $30. HOWEVER, You must pay for the Partial Course or the Entire Course class sessions in order to be eligible to purchase additional individual classes.) If you do not follow these instructions your order will be cancelled***

Requirements: The following tools are required for this class.

A sewing machine, Serger machine, Seam Riper, Paper Scissors, Fabric Scissors, Pins and Pin Cushion, Needles, Threads, Measuring tools, Fabric Marking tools, Thread Snips, Seam Gauge, Sewing gauge, Bodkin or Safety Pins, Thimble, Pattern Paper and Tracing Wheel, Presser Feet, Pattern Weights, Bobbins, Sewing Box organizer.

What you are learning at this level

  1. Introduction to Sewing Machines: Familiarization with different parts of a sewing machine, how to thread it, wind a bobbin, and basic machine maintenance.
  2. Sewing Tools and Notions: Understanding various sewing tools and notions like scissors, pins,
  3. Fabric Selection and Preparation: Guidance on choosing appropriate fabrics for projects and how to prepare them for sewing, such as pre-washing and ironing.
  4. Basic Sewing Stitches: Learning essential stitches like straight stitch, zigzag stitch, and basting stitch.
  5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: How to identify and fix common sewing mistakes, such as tension issues, uneven stitches, or fabric puckering.
  6. Full body measurement: Learn how to take body measurements
  7. Understanding Commercial Patterns: Study and understand how to work with commercial patterns.
  8. Garment Construction: Assembly of simple projects like a basic tote bag, pillowcase, or simple garment, focusing on straight seams and basic construction techniques
